What is Total Spectrum light?

Total Spectrum light is the closest thing to natural daylight. It is white light! It is like having window light or light from skylights wherever Total Spectrum light is used.

How can Total Spectrum lights make a difference in your sense of well being?

Total Spectrum light totally changes your  environment.  They can be used in task lighting, office fixtures, floor and table lamps, bathrooms, kitchens, etc.  Users report reduced glare resulting in less eyestrain, less fatigue, fewer headaches and an increased sense of well being.  Colors appear true and the environment  feels more relaxing.

What are some of the hazards of light pollution?

Research is exposing the dangers inherent in light pollution to the public who spends much of their life in artificial lighting that has glare, produces yellowish light, distorts color, emits irritating flickering – a frequent cause of eyestrain, headaches and fatigue.  Also during the darker months, people are almost totally isolated from the natural, life giving rays of sun.  It is now known that the quality of life is influenced by lighting.

What is "Malillumination"?

"Malillumination" is like light starvation.  If  the light does not have the proper color balancing, stress, fatigue, depression can result.  Most of our light is yellowing and does not have the proper spectral quality as daylight.

Why does reading seem easier under Total Spectrum light?

Total Spectrum light (just like sunlight) absorbs into white paper with no resulting glare.  Printed material is more distinct from the paper and easier to see.

Why do people who work with color prefer to use Total Spectrum light?

Color work is more enjoyable under Total Spectrum light since colors appear true and undistorted.  Often people stop doing their work, craft or hobby at night because color appears distorted and it is fatiguing and harder to see under insufficient and improper lighting.  Total Spectrum lights enable people to engage in their activities at anytime of the day by providing natural light indoors.

Is Total Spectrum light the same as full spectrum light?

Yes.  Total Spectrum or full spectrum light appears white to blue white.  As the light becomes bluer, it  resembles later daylight or cloudy daylight. Generally the light output (lumens) is reduced as the light becomes bluer.

Can I use Total Spectrum light for my animals and plants?

Yes.  Birds need the light to make vitamin D.  Plants need the light for optimum growth. Fish use the light too!
